In just a few short weeks, Lemont, IL will celebrate its 150th Anniversary. Today, our streets are filled with people who have the same hope and ambition as early settlers. We invite you to join the celebration of Lemont’s 150 during Legendary Lemont Week.

Many people have passed through the streets of Lemont and found inspiration so great that inspired them to create masterpieces. Join the Lemont Artists Guild for a plein air session in Lemont Downtown and watch them in their element or break out your own supplies to create your own work of art.
See local artists of all ages create paintings, sculptures, and other pieces of art inspired by Lemont Downtown. Email lemontartistsguild@gmail.com and let them know you plan to participate.

One of our favorite Signature Summer events is back with the first Lemont Legend’s Car Show: Calling All Cars dedicated to the 150th Anniversary. Enjoy a walk through Lemont Downtown looking at vintage cars while enjoying food and drink from local venues.

Join us in celebrating the 150th anniversary of the incorporation of the Village of Lemont! We’ll have Mayor Egofske proclaiming the anniversary date and special speakers recognizing this significant milestone. Plus, there will be a special dedication to the future Village Green Park, along with treats and giveaways for everyone.

The ultimate block party kicks off at 1 PM on Saturday, June 10th for Lemont 150. Enjoy fun for the entire family while connecting with our partners and organizations from around Lemont.
On the Main Stage enjoy music from GAC Entertainment DJ and performances from Lemont High School Band, Lithuanian Folk Dancers, Slovenian Youth Growh Marela Dancers, Irish Dancers, and a Pierogi Eating Contest.
Additionally, find face painting, crafts, carnival games, balloon artists, and maybe a visit from Lemont Mascot, Archie.

Sunday, June 11 | Lemont 1873-1893 Walking Architecture Tour

Join Lemont History enthusiasts Jason Berry and Kevin Barron for a guided walking tour through the Lemont of 1873 and the first 20 years after it was established. You’ll enjoy stories of the past and get some insight into the future of Lemont.
