Halloween Hoedown in Lemont Downtown

As we celebrate Lemontster Days and Halloween, join us for the annual Halloween Hoedown presented by the Village of Lemont and our partners. Enjoy a day of fun-filled with trick-or-treating, hayrides, costume contests, giveaways, and a special performance. Please note time changes for this year’s event as we make an effort to be more family-friendly and give you plenty of time to enjoy all of the festivities.

10:30 AM | Costume contest

Arrive by 10:15 AM to the small northeast Metra Lot to join the Annual Costume Contest. All ages are welcome to compete in this showcase of creativity and imagination.

11:00 AM | Costume Parade along Canal Street

Grab a good spot for the Costume Parade that will leave the Metra lot and head east along Canal Street to Stephen Street to Front Street. Spot your favorite costumes and grab inspiration for next year!

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM | Lemont Downtown Business Trick-or-Treating

Enjoy an hour of trick-or-treating at participating businesses around Lemont Downtown. Look for candy signs or follow the map below.

11:00 AM - 1:00 PM | Fun Fest

Choose from one of the many activities throughout Lemont Downtown during our Family Fun Fest.

🎃 Photo Op Props + Headshot Giveaway at Molly Hebda Photography (226 Main Street)

From 11AM - 1PM, the talented team at Molly Hebda Photography will be passing out candy and offering two backgrounds for selfies. Choose from a “Witches Fireplace” and a “Mirrorball Party” to create your favorite Barbie dance party. Adults can enter to win a free headshot session that includes 2 images (valued at $500).

🎃 Trick-or-Treat at Canal Center (formerly Safety Village at 55 Stephen Street)

The fun takes off at Safety Village with an appearance by Archie. Grab a special Archie sticker if you see him. Grab a free popcorn, grab your photo at the Lemontster Days backdrop, admire the stilt walker, and say hello to a new friend with Ruby Whiskers Animal Rescue. Stop by to view booths and pick up candy and treats from the following organizations:

Don’t miss this spooky fun dance performance by Allegro Music & Dance Academy located at 315 Canal Street. We look forward to seeing what the team of dancers comes up with every year.
