Celebrate Independent Bookstore Day in LEmont Downtown
There is an entire culture around books - wandering into your local bookstore to browse the curated aisles, chatting with your bookseller, and connecting with your community through author readings and illustrator events.
Join us on Saturday, April 27 as we celebrate the 11th Annual Independent Bookstore Day with Three Stories Books.
Indie Bookstore Day is a one-day national party hosted by indie bookstores across the country on the last Saturday in April. Every store is unique and independent, and every party is different. But in addition to authors, live music, cupcakes, scavenger hunts, kids events, art tables, readings, barbecues, contests, and other fun stuff, there are exclusive books and literary items that you can only get on that day.
Celebrate the folks who always have a great selection, make excellent recommendations for your next read, host amazing events for the community, and provide a living wage to their employees and vendors.

Kids may join in on a bookmark decorating contest throughout the event! After kids decorate their bookmarks, they will hang them on our board for people to vote on. Voting will end May 5th after Market on Canal
