Mark Your Holiday Traditions

We love hosting these events as much as you love attending them. These must-do events are part of so many holiday traditions for residents and visitors.

November 29 - December 1 | Small Business Weekend
Celebrate small business by shopping around town after Thanksgiving. Learn more about how to earn a custom embroidered patch with every purchase at participating shops.

November 29 - January 31 | Lighting Up Lemont

Light up your holidays with immersive lighting displays in Village Green, along the I&M Canal, and throughout the charming streets of Lemont Downtown.

Hot Tip: These displays are perfect for holiday photos!  Come in the early afternoon (since it gets dark at 4 PM and stay a little later to capture glowing photos.)

Sunday, December 1 | Ugly Sweater Pet Pawrade

Dress your pet up in their ugliest sweater and visit local businesses collecting treats. All pets will have a chance to meet Santa for a photo!

Sunday, December 7 | Hometown Holiday

Discover the holiday magic when Lemont Downtown transforms into Santa’s workshop. Write letters to Santa, dance at the Jingle Bell Ball, enjoy hot cocoa, meet Santa, and stay until 5 PM for the annual lighting of the holiday tree!

Sunday, December 8 | Frigid 5K hosted by Lemont Park District

Enjoy this chilly run through Centennial Park in Lemont for the 16th annual Frigid 5K at the Lemont Park District! Wear your best ugly sweaters & fun holiday gear! Stick around for the fun after-party with a hot chocolate bar, awards & refreshments.

Enjoy More Festive Fun

As the pillars of our community, local businesses host some of their best events of the year during the holiday season. We’ve collected a few of our favorites to start new traditions, try new activities, or spark even more holiday joy.

Host for the Holidays

If you’re not in the mood to cook this season, or if you’re looking for a great place to kick back, relax, and enjoy time off with friends, check out these restaurants for a great meal.

Pick up a few bottles of wine for great last-minute gifts while you’re there.
